Uzi Rebhun provides the reader with a thorough description and analysis of the multifaceted nature of Jewish internal migration in the United States. Using data from the 1990 and 2000 NJPS, and through up-to-date approaches in the social sciences, he traces changes in the levels, directions, and types of Jewish migration, evaluating the changing social and economic characteristics of the migrants. Uzi Rebhun (Ph.D., 1997) is an Associate Professor at the A. Harman Institute of Contemporary Jewry, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He is also heaed of the Advisory Committee of the Israel Social Sciences Data Archive. Rebhun has published extensively on immigration, internal migration, interfaith marriage, Jewish identification, and population projections. His recent works include American Israelis: Migration, Transnationalism, and Diasporic Identity (with Lilach Lev Ari, Brill Academic Publishers, 2010).
