They move from party to party, engagement to engagement, scheme to scheme—never stopping long enough to notice that nothing is holding. Money evaporates, relationships dissolve, plans collapse. Still, the music plays. Vile Bodies is comedy at speed, but its subject is exhaustion: a generation living as if permanence were optional, and discovering that it is not. Beneath the glitter, something is already breaking, but no one quite knows how to stop.
